Collection: Bangles

This is the most consistent collection Avalna carries. Seventeen of the nineteen designs are gold plated, and all nineteen are stone set — fourteen with American Diamond, four with simulated ruby-red stones and one with Kemp. There are no plain bangles here; every piece is meant to catch light.

Bangles are worn across India and this collection is deliberately broad. The clear American Diamond designs suit receptions, sangeet and party wear anywhere in the country. The ruby-red and green floral pieces read more traditional and sit naturally with silk for weddings, Navratri and Diwali. The Victorian finish design is the dressiest of the set.

Fit is the thing to get right. Indian bangle sizing runs 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8, 2.10 and 2.12, smallest to largest, and a bangle that will not pass the knuckle of your thumb is a bangle you will not wear. There is a size guide on every bangle product page.

Is Avalna jewellery real gold?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every piece is fashion jewellery: a plated brass base finished in gold, rose gold, antique gold, matte gold or rhodium, set with American Diamond, Kemp, glass, resin or simulated stones. The plating and the stone are named on every product page, in the product details panel, so you know exactly what you are buying before you order.

How do I find my bangle size?

Measure the widest part of your hand with your thumb tucked in toward your palm, as if you were sliding a bangle on, and use a tape or a strip of paper around that point. Match the measurement to the size chart on any bangle product page, where sizes run from 2.2 through to 2.12. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one — a bangle that will not clear the knuckle cannot be worn at all.

What is American Diamond?

American Diamond, usually shortened to AD, is a clear faceted stone used in fashion jewellery because it reflects light in a similar way to a cut gem. It is not a diamond and it is not a natural gemstone, and we do not describe it as one. Fourteen of the nineteen bangles in this collection are set with it, which is why the collection photographs as brightly as it does.

Does Avalna deliver outside Tamil Nadu?

Yes. Avalna ships across India from our shop in Arcot, and most orders arrive in three to five days. Shipping is free on orders over ₹1,000. Cash on delivery is also available on orders of ₹1,000 and above; below that, orders are prepaid by UPI, card or net banking. Returns are accepted within 7 days.
